Important Note for India Visa Passport, Place of Birth
When entering your Place of Birth in the Indian Visa Application Form, enter exactly what is shown in your passport without being more specific or precise. For example, if your passport says London as your place of birth, enter the same, not the name of a city or suburb of London. If the place of birth listed in your passport has been dipped into another city or is known by a different name, you should still enter exactly what your passport says.
Remember this tip on where to issue your Indian Visa Passport
There is usually some confusion regarding the place where the visa passport was issued in India. If you are from the US, this will be the US State Department. But the application form doesn't provide enough space to type it all out, so you can shorten it to USDOS. For all other countries, enter the place of issue listed in your passport.
